Counselling, Therapy + Mental Health
Our psychologists have a range of experience in counselling, therapy and mental health. Everyone has a state of mental health, just as everyone has a state of physical health. Our mental health can fluctuate over time in response to life events, continual demands, increasing commitments and relationship difficulties. Anxiety disorders are the most common mental health challenge, followed by depression, stress and adjustment. Mental health and wellbeing both need to be managed to feel good, function well and live a quality life.
Counselling
Psychological Therapy
Individual psychological therapy can take a number of different forms. Regardless of the theory behind each type, one to one therapy strives to help each person restore mental health and regain optimal functioning – whether you are challenged by anxiety, depression, stress or adjustment. We offer a safe, non-judgemental therapeutic environment so people feel heard and understood, process emotions effectively, learn new skills and take away practical strategies to use in everyday life.
Psychological Assessment
When you engage in psychological therapy, psychological assessment might be used to gain valuable information about thoughts, feelings, values, interests and day to day functioning. Our psychologists use validated and reliable measures within the process of informed consent to support understanding, planning and decision-making. They keep up to date with the latest research to ensure evidence-based practice.
